Also, when entry page 2 gets created, entry page 1 gets locked, and people have to submit to the second page, not to the locked first page as a 'b'.

thanks!!! i really had to work hard on those... a friend gave me some suggestions to help... and i am glad i listened to her... my only other delima was how many butterflies to put in! lol

You dont see me going through wiki's, scrutinizing people's work and deleting it off pages. I think a nicer thing to do would have been to send a messege to my page and say," Hey look. I think you might want to fix your picture. There are rules on the size of what it should be. If you need help let someone know. Be careful to pay attention to the rules because it might not get accepted." Doesn't that seems nicer then," [CrimsonDarkness] - your entry doesn't have the correct size for this contest (at all)."<click clikc> deleted.
Atleast let someone fix it for themselves.

But not all members respond to that type of message and then those running the contest have to wait, in many cases without any change and then they have to delete the pictures anyway. It's more work than just deleting it immediatly, and they are here to make sure all entries follow the rules.
As you got to know the image isn't deleted from Elftown and you got the URL back (without asking for it, maybe you didn't need it but you got it at least ;) and got to know how to find your picture if you didn't knew that before, I can't really see any problem. :)

It just got deleted because it didn't follow the rules, but that's about it. Nothing big and evil happened.

I enter for reasons like: I like to see what I can create from an idea/suggestion & the topics are always random & unexpected. This is good b/c it compells one to tap into what all they have within themselves besides just what they like to do. It also gives all the artists that enter a little exposure & to see & share about what each has created. I love looking at other artists' styles & techniques for each is unique. You see, there's a lot more here than winning. Just enter for the experience & whatnot. Never give up b/c you didn't win. Everyone can't win, but it doesn't mean your art isn't worth it. The winners are chosen by a minority in reality & I never make art for others' approval or disapproval. My art is me!  :P

2006-10-03 [Cia_mar]: i may post the wishing well at a later time! the other story i think may have to be ethought about for some time too... i honestly do not know if i want to continue it.. i think it was based after the Valdamar world or Mercedes lackey and so i would not want to make it too much like her work especially if i want to make it more my own story! i have another one that is original but it is slow going... and a bit hard to write because one of the main characters is a bit dark... she will find redeption later but right now going through her life and how things are is almost depressing! but again maybe i will take the time to type out the stories online since all i have are hand written copies thus far... it may be a good thing to put it to type and see if it feels as good there when reading it as it does from my notebook! lol

2006-10-03 [Dark Side of the Moon]: Yes put it in type on the computer screen! Then print it and read it. Nothing thrills you more than seeing your own work in print, even if you printed it yourself! Plus you see mistakes and things that you didn't see while looking at the screen. ;^)
